Xiuhuashan museum in Zhangjiajie is the first Tujia Museum of China, and it combines sightseeing and shopping. The museum is located on Jiaochang Road in Zhangjiajie Hunan province. It is about 35 kilometers from the Wulingyuan scenic area.
The main building of Xiuhuashan museum uses well-courtyard structure of Tujia residents. Collections of the museum are the products that Tujia couple Chen Chuhua, Gong Daoxiu who is known as the “patron saint of Tujia culture” preserved for twenty years. It basically includes wooden carved furniture of Xiangxi Tujia Nationality in Ming and Qing Dynasty, Tujia folk costume, Tujia brocade, Tujia silver ornaments and other kinds of unique and beautiful living appliances.
Xiuhuashan museum combines static and ancient visit and dynamic Tujia folk customs to specially show the Tujia dance, music, festivals, religious history and other unique folk custom and culture. So these made Xiuhuashan become the prestigious human landscape in Zhangjiajie. Xiuhuashan museum explored Tujia dance, music, religion, history and other unique cultural and artistic performances, and finally rehearse various Tujia traditional program, which made the wonderful artistic performances and rich ethnic customs achieve a harmonious unity.
