Changsha, Xiangtan, Loudi Develop First Tourist Route Along High-speed Rail
Tourism Alliance Meeting of Changsha, Xiangtan and Loudi was held in Changsha on March 27, 2015. The three cities decide to collaborate in building Hunan's first tourist route along Changsha-Shaoshan-Loudi High-speed rail and developing tourism resources in central Hunan.
Changsha-Shaoshan-Loudi high-speed rail was put into operation on December 31, 2014, directly connecting the three cities. It takes only 80 minutes from Changsha to Loudi via Huitang Town.
Twelve outstanding scenic areas lie along the 139.151-kilometer-long high speed rail, namely, Changsha City of River, Mountain and Island, Shaoshan, Huaming Tower, Huitang Hot Spring, Shuifu Temple Wetland Park, Former Residence of Zeng Guofan, Longshan Mountain Forest Park, Meijiang River, Boyue Cave, Ziquejie Terrace, Meishan Cave and Daxiong (Big Bear) Mountain. Numerous tourist brands of well-known cities, hot spring, mountains and caves as well as celebrities are developed here, exploring three fine tourist routes concerning travel of celebrities' hometown, geological wonders, and nature and ecology.
