Changde Liuye Lake Tourist Resort Area
Liuye Lake tourist resort area is located in the urban and rural linking area of the northeast of Changde city in Hunan Province. In 1994, it was designated as the provincial tourism resort, and the total planning area of 16.93 square kilometers.
The basic orientation of the tourism resort is the city park for leisure vacation, and the special orientation is the international arena of water sports. The development of the tourism resort uses natural landscape as the tourism carrier, uses the prosperous Changde and centuried Jingchu-Huxiang culture as the basis, and uses tourist resort entertainment and water movement as the breakthrough point to carefully build a tourism resort that contains City Park, the international garden, the international arena and other modern function. The construction is divided into seven parts：The water sight-seeing area, Fairy cave natural scenic spots, Baiheshan bird nature reserve, Mahuangrong pastoral scenery area, Daijiagang core area, Huashan natural scenic spots and Zhantian Lake scenic area.
The water of Liuye Lake is clear, the water area is vast and the lakebed is flat, so it is the ideal natural water arena. Since 1995, Liuye Lake has successfully held the Eighth National Canoe Games of Hunan Province, the national Canoe Final Championship and the National Canoe Championships. Liuye Lake won the good reputation of athletes, audience and tourists with first-class venues and beautiful environment, known as the “Water Paradise”.
