Yang Jiajie scenic area
Yang Jiajie scenic area is in the east of Zhangjiajie and north of the Tianzi Mountain, covering an area of thirty-four square kilometers. Its landform is the peak forest of quartzose sandstone like Tianzi Mountain and Suoxi Valley. Yang Jiajie, 1530 meters above sea level. Inside, ravines and gullies are criss-cross, water is clear, vegetation is thick, and the forest coverage rate is 95%. In the ninety years ago, it was a forgotten corner, but it was gradually known in the early ninety’s. The scenic area is divided into three tour lines: Hongzhi Stream, Longquan gorge, 100 Monkeys Valley.
The name of the mountain and places in Yang Jiajie is also very characteristic. Here, “Zongbao Peak, Liulang Bay and other names of mountain is named by the descendants of Yangjia Warriors who lived in this place to in memory of Yangjia Warriors, and they have been unchanged over the past one thousand years. So, visiting Yang Jiajie, you can not only see the original natural scenery, but also can explore the traces of Yangjia Warriors.
